747 GET BUSY...
Much has been
afoot with pop combo Being 747. Whilst no-one was looking, they went and
re-recorded 'The girl who fell asleep whilst watching her life flash before
her eyes' purely because it had the longest title in the world.
It's now due out in January as a single with a host of new tracks on the
b-side - 'Communist Prince', 'Desperate Dan' and 'Don't Tip Toe'.
You can already
purchase a copy at the Wrath online store and by mail order.
This is all a ploy to distract your eyes while they record another entire
album. In fact, the recrding has been all but completed. Engineered by
mobile audio boffin Jon Clayton, there have been regular clandestine sessions
at Being 747's rehearsal studio which have resulted in a plethora of brand
spanking new stuff.
Songs recorded
include several of the current live set such as 'DIY
Prescriptions' and 'Circuits and Wires' and this album is going to be
an absolute belter! There's no definate name for it yet even though the
band have been racking their brains to come up with a two word combination
like
'Fun & Games' their first album. What will it be? 'Fixtures &
Fittings', 'Fiddlesticks & Flapdoodle', 'Honey & Lemon'? What
ever it ends up being called you can rest assured that it will make absolutely
no sense what
soever if Dave Cooke and his cronies have their way. But they aren't labelled
'Leeds' premier oddball country-pop combo' for nothing.
In the mean
time, the band are gigging sporadically throughout January and
February. See the gig dates for more details or go to www.being747.co.uk
